Turmeric Bone Broth Chicken Soup

Dec 10, 2018 | Chicken, Soups and Stews

Turmeric Bone Broth Soup is the ultimate comforting way to fight off cold season! It’s packed with collagen-dense bone broth and antioxidant rich turmeric.

So I may just about be done with Christmas shopping now. Which means I’ll stop talking about it on here. Wouldn’t that be nice for you? We can go back to discussing TV shows and health. At the end of the day those are the two most important things anyway, right? Speaking of which, Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is out and I am loving it. I won’t say anything else, because I know I would want to murder anyone else if they ruined the show for me. This is a safe place full of food and zero spoilers.

My stomach has been on the fritz lately and I know it’s entirely stress related, which is also entirely my own fault. I’m still expecting too much from myself, even though I keep telling us all too chillax a bit. I cooked and photographed 8 blog recipes this weekend, which was too many, and I’m paying the price. Its a funny thing–sometimes doing more is less effective than doing less. I have a fridge full of food, but I damaged my gut stressing out while I made it, so it sort of canceled out to an extent, and I ended up needing to catch up more on healing. The mindfulness part of healing is definitely the hardest!

I do need to give myself a little bit of credit in the mindfulness department. I had planned on making homemade Christmas gifts, but I at least talked myself out of that one. We can only do so much, and that was unrealistic for me, especially when my body has been begging for a break for years now. Try to find a way to remove even one thing from your to-do list this week. We put pressure on ourselves and think that we HAVE to do everything that ends up on our plate, but usually only a fraction of those things are really necessary.

I’ll leave you with that, and some gut-healing turmeric soup for the soul.
