Melt coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sweet potatoes and cook covered until slightly softened -- usually about 7 minutes.
Add apples to the skillet and stir to combine. Replace the cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until apples are softened to your liking.
Reduce heat to low and stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and slivered almonds. Remove from eat and either set aside to cool, or enjoy!
Keep covered in the fridge for up to a week.
